LeasePlan joins EnergyWise Rally 2004
LeasePlan New Zealand Limited has joined EnergyWise Rally 2004 as a supporting partner for the event. The vehicle leasing company sees the event as a significant step in helping to change the culture of New Zealand’s vehicle operators to reflect a greater awareness of the need to reduce the use of fossil fuels.
“Assisting and advising our clients in the selection and operation of vehicles which are energy-efficient is a major part of our strategy,” said LeasePlan Managing Director Charles Willmer. “The chance to become involved in EnergyWise Rally 2004 assists us in taking that strategy to the next level. We are delighted to have the opportunity to be involved as the official vehicle leasing company represented on the event.”
Cars competing in the event will carry LeasePlan signage as well at that of EECA, Gull and the AA. LeasePlan will be promoting the event to their extensive database and will have the opportunity to involve their clients in crewing competing cars.
EnergyWise Rally 2004 takes place from November 2nd to 5th, and travels a challenging indirect route from Auckland to Wellington and back. The event is designed to demonstrate the impressive environmental compatibility of new cars. Up to 40 vehicles are expected to take part.
