ACP Media launches Gourmet Traveller Wine
ACP Media today announced the launch of Gourmet Traveller Wine, New Zealand’s first dedicated trans-Tasman wine magazine. The glossy 164 page magazine will go on sale this Thursday 19th August, boasting a diverse range of features from around New Zealand and Australia designed to satisfy the palates of wine lovers at all levels.
“The launch of Gourmet Traveller Wine recognises the growing trans-Tasman and global appreciation of New Zealand wines. It also reinforces ACP Media’s status as New Zealand’s leading publisher of premium consumer titles by offering wine enthusiasts a wide-ranging, high quality publication,” said Debra Millar, Group Publisher, Consumer Titles for ACP Media.
“With the wine trade between New Zealand and Australia worth in excess of NZ$123 million annually, there is a ready market for a magazine that showcases both country’s wines to consumers on either side of the Tasman,” said Millar.
Gourmet Traveller Wine hosts a rich showcase of wine personalities, winery restaurant reviews, in-depth wine and food matches, and over 200 wine tastings per issue. Each edition lists the latest five star wines and makes recommendations on the best value new releases. Contributions will come from a heady combination of expert wine writers, led by the publication’s New Zealand editor and well-known Master of Wine Bob Campbell.
“Gourmet Traveller Wine is the ultimate wine lover’s companion – informed, interesting and articulate. It caters for the sophisticated tastes of wine enthusiasts as well as less experienced wine drinkers eager to broaden their knowledge,” says Bob.
Known for his iconic Panama hat, Bob Campbell is one of only seven New Zealanders and 240 people world-wide to hold the Master of Wine qualification. He will be joined by two other leading New Zealand based contributors, including fellow Master of Wine and co-founder of the New Zealand Institute of Wine Education Jane Skilton, and internationally recognised wine writer, judge and buyer Paul White.
The trio bring together a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will be well applied in contributing to a generous selection of articles, ranging from ‘Wineries to Watch’ and ‘Guide to grape varieties’ to cheese tastings and reviews on the latest spirits and beers. The magazine’s extensive and well researched content will ensure that Gourmet Traveller Wine occupies an essential place on the discerning buyer’s list.
Gourmet Traveller Wine will join other premium magazines in ACP Media’s Consumer Titles division, including North & South, Metro and Fashion Quarterly. Its launch delivers on ACP Media’s commitment to providing consumers with diverse, high quality titles, and is an example of ACP Media’s dedication to taking advantage of growth opportunities across the full market spectrum.
