'Once In A Lifetime' All Blacks Experience
Ford Fans Treated To A 'Once In A Lifetime' All Blacks Experience
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, 6 August
Fifty lucky Ford fans recently spent three days living and breathing all things All Blacks, as their prize in the Ford All Blacks Experience competition.
"Ford has been a major sponsor of the All Blacks for nine years, and to celebrate this association we ran this 'once in a lifetime' competition," said Ford New Zealand Corporate Sponsorship Manager, Sarah Henderson.
"The promotion was open to all Ford buyers who purchased a new vehicle in the opening half of the All Blacks season, and a text promotion also ran during TV3's coverage of the test matches."
"The prize was an opportunity for rugby fans to become part of the Ford team and follow the All Blacks in the lead up to the second Bledisloe Cup test."
Highlights of the Ford All Blacks Experience included observing the final training session before the team for the second Bledisloe Cup game was announced, participating in a ten pin bowling competition against a number of the All Blacks and sharing dinner with some of the players at the Sky Tower.
"I had a great time on the Ford All Blacks Experience, and wished it didn't have to end," said Rob Willoughby from Napier, who attended with his eight year old daughter Michaela.
"I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and was very impressed with the All Blacks – they are young men with the weight of the nation on their shoulders, but they were gentlemen throughout the time we were with them and are great ambassadors for their sport and our country."
And Rob's daughter Michaela got her wish – a wish that many of the nation's women will be very envious of – a chat and a photo together with her favourite All Black, Carlos Spencer.
