China: advice for business from traders who know first hand
China's emerging super power status is the starting point for former Prime Minister Jenny Shipley's presentation to EMA's North Shore Business Network tomorrow.
Jenny Shipley and long term trader with China, Alan Brown, are the presenters at the full house breakfast occasion at the Bruce Mason Centre.
Both have extensive first hand, and very practical experience of dealing with China's traders.
Mrs Shipley will speak on the emerging demand patterns of China's consumers, some projections for the scope offered by its markets, and some of China's unique business features, both good and bad.
She plans also to cover some of the realities of "what makes China different".
Alan Brown says embedded in the way the Chinese do business is a fascination with their many gods, and with death and the after life.
"The EMA North Shore CEO breakfast on China is the first in a series that will give hands on, and practical advice from the perspective of people actually involved with street level experience to share," said Alasdair Thompson, EMA's chief executive.
