National Soup Week names NZ’s top ten SOUP mates
National icons, sport icons and living room icons feature on NZ’s first soup TOP TEN.
How else would Sir Edmund Hillary, Helen Clark, Sarah Ulmer and Marc Ellis appear on the same TOP TEN list? When 2504 people were asked in a recent on-line survey commissioned by Wattie’s who they would most like to share soup with, six New Zealanders were named in the TOP TEN alongside family and friends. The full order:
1. My husband / wife / partner 2. My mother 3. Sir Edmund Hillary 4. Helen Clark 5. Allyson Gofton 6. Marc Ellis 7. A friend 8. Tana Umaga 9. My daughter 10. Sarah Ulmer
Wattie’s National Soup Week kicks off on Monday 21 June, the shortest day of the year, with participating schools serving it BIG, taking time over it, and making a nutritious meal of it.
