Record Entries Received In Auckland’s Registered Master Builders 2004 House Of The Year Competition

91 entries have been received in the Auckland Registered Master Builders 2004 House of the Year and Commercial Awards - a 21% increase on last year’s figure of 76 entries.

Auckland Registered Master Builder’s Association President Diane Phillips is pleased with the increase in numbers and says the profile of the event is growing stronger each year.

“The Registered Master Builders House of the Year and Commercial Awards programme is the ideal platform for registered master builders to showcase their skills. The quality of entries this year is very high and with the new competition structure awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze quality marks, homeowners and people looking to build or renovate will be able to easily recognise building excellence,” she says.

Judging of the 91 properties from Kaitaia to the Coromandel begins this month and the results will be announced at the Auckland Registered Master Builder’s Gala Awards Evening which is being held at the Sky City Convention Centre on Friday, 9 July.

The Registered Master Builders 2004 House of the Year and Commercial Awards competition has three category groupings. Residential awards include New Homes (six price categories ranging from under $180,000, to over $1 million); PlaceMakers Renovation Awards (two price categories under and over $200,000), the Builder’s Own Home Award, James Hardie Show Home Award, and the Housing New Zealand Community Development Award. Commercial awards which include three price categories ranging from under $1million to over $5million, and LifeStyle Awards for interior living, structural assurance, energy efficiency, bathrooms and kitchens.
