Tiger Telematics Teams Up With Microsoft to Profile Gametrac Device at CeBIT 2004
LONDON, March 18
Gametrac Europe Ltd, subsidiary of Jacksonville, Florida based Tiger Telematics Inc (OTC: TIGR), has announced it will be demonstrating its hotly anticipated Gametrac device at Microsoft Corp.'s booth during CeBIT 2004 in Hanover, Germany (18 - 24 March). The device is built on the Microsoft Windows CE .NET platform and will be demonstrated in its Gaming Area at the show. This partnership follows the successful unveiling of the first Gametrac device on Microsoft's booth at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. Gametrac can be found at Microsoft's booth at CeBIT in Hall 1 Stand 7i2 and 7 for the duration of the show.
Microsoft has been working closely with Tiger Telematics on the development of Gametrac as an outstanding example of a mobile device that utilises the power of the Windows CE .NET platform to maximum effect. Gametrac will be one of the products on display in the Microsoft Gaming Area and will allow visitors to the show a unique opportunity to get their hands on the first device.
Carl Freer, Managing Director of Gametrac Europe Ltd commented, "Our relationship with Microsoft continues to go from strength to strength. Microsoft's platform allows us to utilise Gametrac's many powerful functions whilst ensuring the end user has an easy to use and enjoyable experience with the device."
"The Windows Embedded Device Showcase Program at CeBIT is a great opportunity for Windows Embedded partners like Tiger Telematics to highlight their cutting-edge devices," said Jane Gilson, group product manager of the Embedded Devices Group at Microsoft. "Gametrac exemplifies the kinds of innovative products our gaming industry partners are developing on the Windows CE .NET operating system."
