Help Farmers Help The Farmers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MEDIA ADVISORY – 19 February 2004

Help Farmers Help The Farmers

Retail icon, Farmers Trading Company Limited is pulling out all the stops to help New Zealand’s flood victims.

Over the next three days (February 20, 21 & 22), Farmers’ customers will be asked to ‘add a gold coin or more’ to their purchase total. This money will be donated to the company’s flood victim support appeal entitled “Farmers for the Farmers”. In turn, these public contributions will be considerably boosted by a Farmers cash donation of up to $30,000.

And, when the flood clean ups begin in earnest, Farmers is also pledging to support those families whose lives have been shattered by the recent floods.

Farmers Managing Director, David Norman says that as the situation improves and specific needs are clearer, the company will look at practical ways to help people rebuild their homes.

Please encourage your listeners / viewers / readers to give generously at their local Farmers store this weekend.
