BNZ Account for Manawatu District flood victims

Bank of New Zealand establishes Trust account for victims of Manawatu District floods
Bank of New Zealand has established a Trust account in conjunction with the Manawatu District Council to aid people affected by the flooding in the Manawatu District.
Bank of New Zealand's general manager for business development, Andrew Whitechurch, says the funds raised will be added to the mayoral relief funds and distributed by a committee set up by the Manawatu District Council.
"The flooding has had a devastating impact on the community there and we want to do our bit to support those people who’s homes and lives have been affected by the disaster," says Mr Whitechurch.
Mr Whitechurch says the public can make donations at any of the bank’s branches throughout the country from tomorrow, Thursday, 19 February 2004.
