New Zealand A Nation Of 'Sexy Sophisticates'
Names like Halle Berry and Cameron Diaz conjure up images of sexy sophistication but they better start watching over their shoulder.
A survey released today by Gillette Passion Venus reveals New Zealand is a nation of 'sexy sophisticates', women who look fabulous, love the finer things in life and ooze cool confidence.
Nearly 50 percent of women who took part in the survey, conducted to coincide with the launch of Gillette's new Passion Venus razor for women, consider themselves in the 'sexy sophisticate' category. However, as many Kiwi males may attest, the flipside is these women also may seem a bit unapproachable and don't often let the real them shine through.
The survey asked a series of questions to check on Kiwi women's passion quotients and Gillette believes the results say a lot about how New Zealand women view themselves.
Gillette Business Manager, Andrea Spearman, says Gillette is New Zealand's leading female grooming brand and they wanted to get a better understanding of what New Zealand women think of themselves in a fun yet insightful way.
"The results reveal some very interesting aspect of New Zealand women's psyche. After 'sexy sophisticates', the second largest group, at nearly 20 percent, is 'reserved romantics', those women who consider themselves sensual, dreamy and romantic, but with a tendency to be a little inhibited," says Andrea.
'Pillars of passion', described as a red-hot passion inferno, accounted for 16 percent of respondents while 14.5 percent consider themselves 'earthy enthusiasts', Kiwi girls with a lust for life but who probably think 'buddy' rather than 'bedroom'.
"Some of the results were surprising," says Andrea. "For example we discovered that more than half Kiwi women would prefer to spend their 'my time' over dinner and drinks at the hottest spot in town rather than at a health spa."
Casual over chic is the preferred round-the-house attire for New Zealand women with more than 40 percent choosing funky jeans and a designer t-shirt and 30 percent a track suit over sexy silk pyjamas (19 percent) and a casual skirt and twin set (9.8 percent).
It also seems Kiwi women are not backward in coming forward when it comes to flirting with nearly 45 percent using calculated eye contact as their favourite flirtatious move over a hair flip and a "come hither" smile, cracking a joke or giggling and covering their mouth.
And diamonds are still the 'it' gift with nearly 43 percent preferring the glittering gem from their significant other rather than rollerblades or champagne and strawberries.
The new Passion Venus razor from Gillette, comes in hot pink, and has, according to the company, been inspired by passion as well as romance and femininity, and features advanced shaving technology. It is the best shaving system available for women and delivers the closest shave ever in just one stroke.
