One Work Stoppage Ended in March 2003 Quarter

One work stoppage ended in the March 2003 quarter, according to latest figures from Statistics New Zealand. This was a complete strike and resulted in the loss of wages and salaries, and person-days of work.

Forty work stoppages ended in the March 2003 year. In comparison, 41 work stoppages ended in the March 2002 year.

Due to the need to preserve confidentiality, information cannot be published about the work stoppage that ended in the March 2003 quarter and stoppages that ended in the March 2003 year.

As well as the one stoppage that ended in the March 2003 quarter, there were two other stoppages that were still in progress.
