Mid-Winter Holiday For Hyundai Customer

Mid-Winter Holiday For Hyundai Customer

A mid-winter escape is on the horizon for a Christchurch man after Hyundai Automotive New Zealand (HANZ) announced he had won its Queenstown Winter Festival Santa Fe test drive promotion yesterday.

Neil Pethig won the prize pack after test driving a Santa Fe at his local Hyundai dealership, Gary Cockram Hyundai, in Durham St, Christchurch.

The prize pack includes return airfares for two to the Queenstown Winter Festival, ten nights accommodation and tickets to selected festival events, of which HANZ is a major sponsor. The competition was open to any person who test drove a Santa Fe at any Hyundai dealership throughout the country over the past two and a half months.

Mr Pethig went on to purchase a Santa Fe and he is over the moon with his new purchase, describing the Santa Fe as a vehicle that “handles beautifully” and is “stylish and rugged”.

“One of the things that attracted me the most about the Santa Fe was its safety features. The stability of the vehicle gives me great confidence.”

“Also, everything on the dashboard is within easy reach and is clearly defined. It’s incredibly roomy inside, five adults can travel comfortably, no problems at all” said Pethig.

The Santa Fe is a fully appointed SUV, ideal for icy conditions typically experienced in the South Island. The spacious model has been designed to focus on superior comfort and car-like handling.

It boasts all features of the “Safety Pack”, which HANZ led the market by introducing in March this year as standard in all Hyundai passenger vehicles sold in New Zealand.

The safety pack includes a complete range of advanced safety features including ABS, twin airbags, keyless entry and alarm, immobiliser, electric mirrors and windows, air conditioning and CD player.

It is this focus on safety that saw the Santa Fe achieve first equal status in the latest European New Car Assessment programme (NCAP) tests, a series of trials which assess the safety performance of new cars.
