Barfoot & Thompson Clocks Up $5 billion in Sales

Barfoot & Thompson Clocks Up $5 billion in Annual Auckland Residential Property Sales

Barfoot & Thompson has sold $5 billion of Auckland residential property in the year to the end of May, making the past 12 months the most successful in the company’s 80 year history.

The company recently celebrated the individual successes of its sales people and branches at its annual ‘Top Achievers’ lunch and Director Peter Thompson says the news the company has now pushed through the $5 billion threshold is the icing on the cake.

“This milestone is even more significant when you consider that it represents only Auckland residential sales. The figures from our Commercial operation and Northland have been excluded.”

The total value of the company’s Auckland residential sales for the year to May 2003 was $5,008,354,309 which represents 14,309 transactions

“Obviously strong market conditions have contributed to the company’s performance, but it’s also worth noting that we have increased our market share over the same period.”

“Barfoot and Thompson’s success is a reflection of the calibre of our sales people and last week we took time out to acknowledge our top achievers, including our number one sales person Leila MacDonald from our Remuera branch who we believe is the most successful residential real estate sales person in New Zealand for the past financial year.”

“Leila’s results are simply incredible. She sold 62 properties with a total value of $121.5 million in the financial year to May 2003, more than doubling her achievement of the previous year.”

“We also acknowledged the top sales people from each of our 54 branches.”

“Barfoot and Thompson is proud of its 80 year history in the Greater Auckland region. We thank our many clients and look forward to continuing to be of service to them in the future.”
