Rangatira Acquires 50% Heller Tasty Ltd
Rangatira Ltd today announced that it had acquired a 50 % shareholding in Christchurch-based ham, bacon and smallgoods producer, Heller Tasty Ltd. Rangatira has acquired the shares from two non-executive shareholders - the other 50% of the company is held by executive shareholders Todd Heller and Nick Harris who will continue in their management roles, and as shareholders.
Rangatira Chairman, Murray Gough, said that Heller Tasty is an innovative business that has developed an enviable market position by creating quality products and working hard to satisfy its customers. “It will be business as usual for Heller Tasty.” he said, “We think it is a well-run company with good prospects for further growth and we will be supporting Todd, Nick and the team in carrying on doing what they do best – making quality ham, bacon and sausage products for distribution nationwide”.
