Electricity Demand Update
The electricity conservation effort was 7.8 per cent yesterday, declining from a high of 8.5 per cent on Sunday.
Total demand for the 24 hours ended midnight 26 May was 99.3 GWh compared to 102.3 GWh for the same day last year.
The slight reduction in electricity savings may be attributable to cooler weather across much of the country.
Rain has also eased, meaning that hydro lake levels have been declining over the past three days. National hydro storage level was yesterday 2330 GWh, 78 per cent of average.
