Barfoot & Thompson extends into Kerikeri

Barfoot & Thompson extends into Kerikeri

Increasing demand for real estate services in Northland has prompted Barfoot & Thompson to open a new branch in Kerikeri.

The Kerikeri branch, which opens for business on May 1, will bring the total number of Barfoot & Thompson offices to 54 covering an area from Pukekohe in the south to Kerikeri in the north.

The new Kerikeri branch manager is Gary Bartleet who already has an 11 year track record with Barfoot and Thompson. He’s been covering the Kerikeri area from his home base of Whangarei but will now make the move north to take up the new Branch Manager role.

“The new branch will cover a large geographical area from Paihia up to Cape Karikari in the far north including Cable Bay and Coopers Beach Kerikeri, and through to the Hokianga Harbour. Initially we will have up to eight sales agents, with plans to expand to 11.”

“In the first 18 months of business my aim is to achieve a market share of 20 percent, which I believe is achievable given the size of our office and the professional backing of the Barfoot and Thompson team.”

Barfoot & Thompson Director Peter Thompson believes a presence in Kerikeri is a natural extension for the company.

“Our Whangarei office has always done a large amount of business in Northland, but the demand for real estate services in Kerikeri and surrounding areas is now at a level that warrants a stand alone branch.”
