“Hypocrisy On High Seas”
“The so-called loyal flags being sold in the thousands at The Warehouse stores should be re-named disloyal flags”, says Stephen Tindall-the woman, founder of MADENZ.
These flags have been made in Taiwan.
“If ever there was a lesson to illustrate hypocrisy, this has got to be it” Ms Tindall said from Mt Maunganui today.
“To use the nations symbolic silver fern to promote loyalty on a flag that has been made in Taiwan, beggars belief. These flags will stand forever as a symbol of disloyalty and patriotism twisted by greed.”
“Importing product that could and should be made by your fellow countrymen and women, is one of the most unpatriotic, most disloyal things I can imagine a company to do. The Warehouse Ltd relies upon New Zealanders to buy their products and support their pet campaigns but they do not want New Zealanders to have jobs making these products.”
“I urge all truly loyal New Zealanders who have purchased these Taiwanese flags from The Warehouse Ltd to return them under their money back guarantee in the spirit of true patriotism.”
