Tupperware Parties On in Australia & New Zealand

Tupperware Parties On in Australia & New Zealand

SYDNEY, Jan. 24 /MediaNet International-AsiaNet/ --

Tupperware Australia and New Zealand have no plans to follow recent restructuring moves by the UK to terminate the traditional party plan system

Mr Ian Evans, Area Director of Marketing, said that the Company would continue with its current party-plan format.

"The party is alive and well in Australia and New Zealand. In fact we have just been awarded 'Country of the Year' out of 104 countries, for our growth in sales and profit," Mr Evans said.

"Party-plan selling has proved a very successful model in Australia and New Zealand and is one which we have evolved to suit today's lifestyle. We've invested heavily in rejuvenating the party-plan program and currently boast a sales force of over 8,000 in both countries," Mr Evans said.

So popular has the party-plan concept been for Tupperware Australia that it has recorded unprecedented sales growth over the past five years, reaping the rewards of a revitalised brand and resurgence in consumer demand for the 'plastic fantastic'.

The party plan will continue to remain a core focus of the growth strategy in both countries. Tupperware New Zealand celebrates its 30th birthday this year and Australia enjoys one of the world's highest Tupperware penetration rates with a Tupperware party starting every 4.4 minutes.
