Christmas Comes All At Once For Eight Year Old Boy

A family's Christmas came all at once in Wellington on Saturday when Luke (aged eight years) took up his prize as winner of the Mainland Cheese nationwide toy grab competition.

Luke was given 60 seconds today to grab as many toys as he could at the Toywood Megastore, Balance Street, Wellington.

His mother said she was absolutely thrilled to hear Luke had won the Mainland Cheese barcode promotion as she has three boys. Luke's mother, a caregiver, said "We are abolutely wrapped to win the prize as we don't normally have much of a Christmas and the boys get one present a piece."

"We are delighted to see the Toy Grab prize won by such a grateful and deserving family. We hope the prize makes a happy Christmas for the winner and his family." Lisa Tregenza - Product Manager - Processed Cheese, Mainland Products Ltd.

"Luke's entry was very colourful and clever. He even wrote a poem:

This is a story about Mainland Cheese
Its very yummy if you please
Mum buys singles galore
Into the fridge we go to explore
One by one into our mouth
Into our tummy, heading South
Xmas is coming, Santa's getting fat
Mainland cheese is simply the best
Forget the rest
That is that!"

Luke beat over 6,500 entries who had to collect two Mainland Cheese product barcodes.
