Linux NetworX & Best Systems to Expand Sales Channels in Asia: Joint Venture to Focus on Entering New Markets

Linux NetworX announced today plans to open Linux NetworX Asia, K.K., a joint venture with Japan-based Best Systems Inc., with an expected launch of Dec. 2002. Best Systems is a leading supplier of high performance computing solutions to the scientific research community in Japan, and has been a leading reseller of Linux NetworX solutions since 1998. Linux NetworX Asia will focus on increasing sales channels and partner opportunities throughout Asia.

The formation of Linux NetworX Asia will expand upon the accomplishments of Best Systems, and will focus on further penetrating Japan, as well as expansion into South Korea, Taiwan, China, Malaysia and Singapore. Linux NetworX and Best Systems have created a large customer base in Japan including RIKEN, AIST, Mitsui Chemical, Tokyo University, Osaka University and Hokkaido University.
