Contact Energy Seeks Commerce Commission Clearance To Buy Tcc And Cobb Power Stations
Contact Energy Ltd today confirmed that it would seek Commerce Commission clearance to acquire all of the shares in two subsidiaries of Natural Gas Corporation Holdings Ltd.
The application relates to the NGC subsidiaries that own the Taranaki combined-cycle gas turbine plant at Stratford and the Cobb hydro power scheme near Nelson.
As part of its evaluation of the acquisition, Contact has an arrangement with its majority shareholder, Edison Mission Energy, for technical support.
