Unlimited wins seven magazine awards
Unlimited magazine last week won seven awards - more awards than any other title at this year's New Zealand Magazine Awards. The haul takes to 35 the number of design and journalism awards won by the business magazine in just four years, including four times being awarded Magazine of the Year.
At a gala dinner in Auckland , the magazine won five awards and was a finalist in two within its division "business and professional". These are:
Nikki Mandow, Editor of the Year
Rebecca Macfie, Writer of the Year
Amanda Trayes, Designer of the Year
Vincent Heeringa, High achiever/Publisher of the Year
Unlimited, Magazine of the Year
Fiona Rotherham, Writer of the Year (finalist)
Megan Colquhoun, Cover of the Year (finalist)
Judges described the magazine and its contributors as "totally professional" and demonstrating "exceptional performance". The annual awards are run by the Magazine Publishers' Association.
"This result is wicked. We didn't do very well at last year's award and really lifted our game as a result. It's an endorsement of the everything the team is trying to achieve - excellence in business publishing," says Unlimited publisher, Vincent Heeringa.

The magazine continues grow both in circualtion and in products, launching two new titles next month. Biotech Unlimited is a new science-business magazine focussing on the "the business of bioscience".
