Industry NZ supports workplace performance


INDUSTRY NEW ZEALAND SUPPORTS WORKPLACE PERFORMANCE

Staff performance in the workplace is key to building a healthier, more innovative workplace and world class companies said Julian Moore, Marketing Manager, Industry New Zealand.

He was commenting on the upcoming SmartNet workshop series 2002 event, “Sustaining World Class Performance – Biology of Business Success”.

“How our people cope with the challenges and complexities of a sometimes chaotic world is a real test of our companies’ ability to perform in the global market, “ said Mr Moore.

The lunch session and workshops will focus on how to enhance workplace resilience and unlock staff creativity, by focusing on lifestyle and stress management, emotional intelligence, effective decision-making and creative leadership.

Industry New Zealand is one of the gold sponsors of the Baycorp Advantage SmartNet workshop 2002 and provided $20,000 of funding under its Business and Enterprise Culture Programme.

“We see these workshops as an important tool in promoting the creative fitness of people in organisations. It translates into improving the overall innovative and creative capacity for the whole company.

“Companies wanting to compete effectively on the global stage need to use a variety of tools to ensure they get the best ideas and performance from their staff. This means being responsive to rapidly changing needs and tapping into our creative reservoirs to develop winning solutions,” said Mr Moore.

The lunch session keynote and workshop facilitator is Dr Sven Hansen, MBA. He has a background in sports medicine and is owner of Auckland based E-Health Ltd, a corporate and executive health clinic.

At the lunch sessions, a panel of successful business leaders and professionals will share their insights into the challenges of keeping themselves and their teams energised.

The lunch sessions and workshops will run in : Auckland, 25 September, Totem on the Viaduct Wellington, 27 September, Duxton Hotel Christchurch, 2 October, The Crowne Plaza Dunedin, 3 October, The Chancellor Dunedin
