Porter Novelli Restructures NZ Board

New Zealand’s largest public relations company, Porter Novelli New Zealand Ltd, has announced a restructuring of its board to give greater involvement of its senior local executives.

Cedric Allan (Auckland) takes over as chairman from Noel Turnbull of Melbourne, and Gerry Morris (Wellington) will replace Peter Hehir, a former non-executive director from Wellington.

Auckland managing director Jill Dryden has been appointed deputy managing director, New Zealand, a new position. Wellington general manager Tracey Bridges and Mark Blackham (Wellington) remain on the board.

Announcing the changes, managing director, New Zealand, Malcolm Boyle says the consultancy has also been reorganised into specialist practice areas including investor relations, health and government relations.

“Clients are increasingly looking for specialised skills and experience relevant to their business needs in addition to communications expertise,” he said.

Porter Novelli is one of the world’s largest international public relations groups.
