Shell Lifts Prices Two Cents - Diesel Remains The Same
Shell New Zealand today announced it will not be increasing the price of diesel at the pump and is limiting its price increases on both grades of petrol to two cents per litre, effective from 4pm this afternoon.
"We expect current volatile market conditions will continue for the foreseeable future, and monitor prices and the market on a daily basis," Shell Retail Manager Bruce Emson said today.
"Shell is determined to bring its customers the best possible fuel prices and at this time, we consider that only a two cent increase is warranted in the market."
Mr Emson confirmed that on-going pressures in the international crude and product markets have forced Shell to increase petrol price.
"However, in seeking to deliver our customers the best possible price, we have moved only to recover the effect of this impact," Mr Emson.
