Monetary Policy Statement Press Conference Live On Sky Television
The Reserve Bank Governor Don Brash’s press conference at the release of the 14 November Monetary Policy Statement will be broadcast live in New Zealand on SKY’s CNBC Australia news channel.
The live broadcast, on SKY’s Digital Satellite Network, will take place this Wednesday from 9.00am.
Reserve Bank Corporate Affairs Manager Paul Jackman said, “For the Reserve Bank, the purpose of this SKY broadcast is to make the nuances connected with the release of the November Monetary Policy Statement immediately available to financial market participants and others with an interest in the details of these announcements. This should assist a more in-depth understanding of the Reserve Bank’s actions and the reasoning behind those actions.”
SKY Television Chief Executive Officer John Fellet said, “SKY is delighted to be broadcasting the fourth live Monetary Policy Statement press conference this year. The ongoing interest is great and SKY looks forward to seeing what unfolds in 2002.”
