ACC Premium Consultation - What A Joke!

ACC are making a mockery of consultation with affected parties on ACC premiums for the 2002/03 year according to Federated Farmers President Alistair Polson.

"The first time many people heard of the consultation process was in today's Dominion, stating that a consultation briefing would be held in Wellington today at 9am," said Mr Polson. "Many people would not be in a position to have read the paper by 9am, let alone drop tools to attend the briefing."

"One would have hoped that ACC might have learnt something from private sector insurers about the need for customer focus, rather than continue to ride rough shod over those who pay for the costs associated with ACC - the premium payers," Mr Polson said.

"Hopefully, this latest debacle is a one-off. Nevertheless, one can never be sure with a state-monopoly insurer which has the power to tax premium payers as they please," concluded Mr Polson.
