TELECOM MOBILE AND BOOST-TEL TARGET KIWI YOUTH WITH BOOST MOBILE
Telecom Mobile and Boost Tel are getting together to launch a dedicated youth brand offering – a New Zealand first.
Boost is a highly successful Australian mobile youth brand, supported by some of the world’s most successful apparel and accessory brands, the latest mobile technology and some world beating sports people.
Boost Tel is highly regarded in Australia for its skills in the sales, marketing and distribution of mobile phones and products to the youth segment of the mobile market. It has strong links to such brands as Mooks, M-One-11, Mossimo, Globe Shoes, Billabong, Quiksilver, Fox Clothing and Pepsi.
Boost Mobile will replace Pulsate in the New Zealand youth mobile market with existing customers able to top up their prepaid accounts with the new Boost Mobile recharge cards.
“Boost is committed to providing an affordable solution to getting mobile for the young, the young at heart and the new entrants to the mobile market,” Boost Tel Chief Executive Peter Adderton said today.
Telecom Mobile General Manager Mohan Jesudason said the alliance was a powerful combination of Telecom’s unrivalled suite of mobile phone products and services, and Boost’s links into the youth segment.
“Boost Mobile is an exciting new brand that combines the best of both Telecom Mobile and Boost Tel,” he said.
Boost products will be available in selected surf, skate and snow stores as well as other key youth and convenience outlets.
Boost’s commitment to the support of New Zealand’s youth does not stop at providing great phones. Boost is supporting a number of national events to “boost” the profile of youth sports in New Zealand. These programmes include the
- Quiksilver Boost Airshow Surfing Competition - Boost Big Air Snowboarding in Wanaka and another - In addition there will be a variety of national, local and regional events; and - A major international sporting event to be announced very shortly.
Boost’s athlete team line up includes national and world champions and leading professional riders.
