Mariner7 And Sheffield - Strategic Partnership
Mariner7 And Sheffield Announce Strategic Partnership
Carter Holt Harvey spin-off Mariner7 and
Sheffield Limited today announced a strategic partnership
that will see them working together to develop and market
on-line human resource products in New Zealand.
The deal will enable Sheffield to offer Mariner7’s web-based HR tools to its clients. For Mariner7, Sheffield’s developmental consulting expertise will ensure the smooth integration of on-line solutions into client companies.
“There is tremendous demand in New Zealand for quality human resources consulting advice supported by new technology,” Mariner7 Chief Executive Officer Heather Miles said.
“We’re delighted to be working with Sheffield to offer our combined services and products to their clients.”
Ian Taylor, Sheffield Managing Director, said “the partnership recognises the potential synergy between an innovative on-line solution provider and a well-proven client centred consultancy.”
Mariner7 and Sheffield plan to expand their partnership into Australasia. Both have offices in Sydney which are providing a gateway to the Australian market.
Mariner7 evolved from an in-house Carter Holt Harvey project to improve business performance by aligning individual targets with corporate strategy. The web-based tools developed for the project were so successful that Carter Holt Harvey created a separate company, Mariner7, to commercialise them.
Since its launch in early 2001 Mariner7 has expanded its client base to include South Auckland Health, BHP Steel and The Simpl Group as well as parent company Carter Holt Harvey. It has offices in Auckland and Sydney, and is establishing a global distribution network for its web-based HR tools, Talent Manager and Talent Engine.
Sheffield Limited is one of New Zealand’s leading human resource consultancies founded in 1961. It is an enterprise of 90 staff with offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Sydney. Over the past decade, Sheffield has tripled in size. Eight of New Zealand’s 10 largest organisations have engaged the company as a preferred supplier or significant provider.
Sheffield’s consultancy model, based on the concept of Human Wealth, ensures there is both wealth for people as well as creating wealth from people. Organisations achieving both, it espouses, enjoy a competitive edge.
