Ford Mondeo Superstar Prizedraw

Ford Mondeo Superstar Prizedraw Exceeds Expectations

Ford dealerships nationwide were swamped over the weekend by eleven thousand people eager to win one of two new Mondeos that were offered as prizes to celebrate the official public launch of the new model.

The competition, which was one of the biggest Ford events held in recent years, was won by Ms. Hallam who entered at Metro Ford in Porirua, and Ms. Norris of Timaru.

Ms. Hallam, who is a current Mondeo driver, had already planned to upgrade her 1999 sedan to a new 2001 Ghia. The win however was especially timely for the Norris family as one of their vehicles had recently been stolen.

"It's a great feeling being able to give a car away, and it's even better when it is going to two very worthy recipients," said Ford New Zealand Marketing Manager Steve Pleciak.

"I am sure that both Ms. Hallam and the Norris family will enjoy their new Mondeos and will look forward to many years of safe and enjoyable motoring."

"Feedback from the competition has indicated that people are very impressed by the Mondeo range, with its elegant lines, stylish interior and overall high levels of specification."

The new Mondeo range includes 2.0L sedan, hatchback and wagon derivatives, as well as a 2.5L V6 Mondeo ST. Pricing starts at $35,900.
