First New Zealand Property Institute Conference A Huge And Magnificent Success!
The first New Zealand Property Institute conference since it was formed last year was a huge and magnificent success, CEO Conor English said today.
“The verdict is in - the first NZPI conference was a huge and magnificent success. In Christchurch we had over 300 attend, and almost 400 enjoy a very entertaining conference dinner. The other social functions were very well attended and enjoyed by all.
“However it isn’t all just about numbers – the feedback we’ve had tells us that the quality of the speakers was very very good. Those who attended are now also beginning to understand what the new Institute can also deliver in terms of branding, information and networking.
“Generally attendees knew some others at the conference but enjoyed meeting many new people who they didn’t previously know. The broader membership certainly gives the profession a greater opportunity to network and tap into others expertise. It was very enjoyable conference for everybody,”Mr English concluded.
The New Zealand Property Institute was launched in 2000 to take the profession into the 21st century. This follows the overwhelming support for a new organization by members of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers (NZIV), the Institute of Plant & Machinery Valuers (IPMV), and the Property & Land Economy Institute of New Zealand (PLEINZ).
The Institute has a membership of some 3000 key property professionals, who provide services in a number of property related areas involving people, places and spaces. These include; property management, property consultancy, property development, property valuation (rural, residential, commercial and industrial), facilities management, plant and machinery valuation, financial analysis, real estate sales and leasing, project management, and others.
The Institute promotes a code of ethical conduct and provides a range of membership services and benefits. The Institute has 17 branches across provincial and metropolitan New Zealand, a number of overseas members, and is affiliated to a number of other international property organisations.
