Domain Centre A High Profile Solution For Ericsson
In another major leasing coup for Symphony Properties, international communications giant Ericsson is relocating to the Domain Centre in Newmarket.
Ericsson Communications Limited will be the flagship tenant for the third building of the Domain Centre, which is currently under construction. The company has leased close to half of the building, taking 80 car parks and naming rights.
Ericsson joins other high profile names in the Centre, such as the Sony Music and Entertainment, Vector, Public Trust Office, Network Travel and Guidant New Zealand. The first two buildings of the Domain Centre, 101 and 103 Carlton Gore Road are complete and fully leased.
Symphony Managing Director Chris Minty says the leasing further consolidates the Domain Centre as one of the most prestige locations outside the Central Business District.
“If you look at where it’s all been happening in Auckland for new office developments, then Newmarket and the Viaduct are two dominant locations.”
Ericsson will shift its Auckland offices from Ellerslie, where it has been operating for the past 7 years.
Ericsson Managing Director, Goran Olsson says the company chose the Domain Centre over different options because the Centre was a quality property solution with state-of-the-art design and technology.
“The success of Ericsson is built on innovation, and so is our future. Working at Ericsson means working at the forefront of communications technology, and this makes Ericsson an outstanding workplace.
“We believe our position in the marketplace will be enhanced by the high profile and central location of our premises, allowing us to expand into new areas of business and grow with confidence and strength in an ever-changing industry,” he says.
Ericsson is
the leading provider in the telecommunications sector,
offering solutions that combine technologies with freedom of
mobility for the user.
The building to be known as Ericsson House will be completed in September 2001. The Domain Centre is a series of four buildings providing the ultimate in business accommodation.
Ends.
