Subsidiary Signs $20m Deal With National Carrier
Auckland – 5 December 2000: Aldridge Punter Limited (APL), a subsidiary of Advantage Group Limited (NZSE:ADV), has signed a support service agreement with Air New Zealand which will deliver up to $20m in revenue over the next three years.
The three-year contract is to supply and enhance application support services currently used to run the airline, which has been an APL client for over ten years.
“We develop custom written systems as well as providing package software and ongoing support for a diverse range of clients and environments. Air New Zealand will now have increased long-term access to an outstanding team of developers,” says Murray Aldridge, GM of APL.
Andrew David, General Manager IT & Chief Information Officer for Air New Zealand, says the new agreement supports the airline’s strategic procurement review.
“This new partnership with APL will mean continuity of service, knowledge and value for money.”
“Substantial cost-savings will be gained through consolidation of the work effort with the ability to focus on what we need to do over the long-term,” says Andrew David.
Aldridge Punter Ltd provides a range of enterprise application development and support services to Air New Zealand with expertise in Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and SAP environments.
Greg Cross, CEO of Advantage Group, says APL is one of New Zealand’s best-performing software development companies.
“Aldridge Punter brings with it a 24-year history of high quality software development”.
“The company is extremely well-respected and enjoys long-standing relationships with both blue chip clients and staff. That speaks volumes about the quality of its management and people, and the service they provide.”
