How banks Bought a friend
A report on further revelations that top rating talk back radio host, John Laws, was paid over Aus $1m by a syndicate of
banks to abandon an on-air campaign criticising Australian banks. The Australian Broadcasting Authority is to undertake
a formal investigation. It also appears laws has a number of other influential customers, known as the "blue chip
portfolio", including Arnotts, Qantas, Rosemount Estates, Toyota , Optus and others. [This would be like Holmes being
bought off by the NZ Banks.]
SOS for Ailing Hospitals
A report the Minister of Health admits the State's hospitals are "under stress". This follows revelations by doctors
that key hospitals are in crisis.
