Poura's Case To Be Viewed Again

Convicted killer Teina Poura, found guilt in 1994 of taking part in the murder of Manukau woman Susan Burdett, is to have his case considered again.

Poura's part in the killing of Susan Burdett came under the spotlight during the trial of convicted serial rapist Malcolm Rewa. Rewa was found to have raped Ms Burdett on the evening of her brutal death.

Poura's arrest followed his confession for being an accomplice with other unnamed Mongrel Mob members. Poura later retracted the confession.

Questions targeted Poura's guilt or innocence in the Burdett killing, after the jury int the Rewa serial rapist trial heard how Rewa was a "lone stalker" - his M.O was to act alone.
