Auckland City Council
On 29 June 1999, Auckland City Council approved price increases for Metrowater, to take effect from 1 October 1999. The price increases are 7.4% for water and 20.8% for wastewater.
In August, Auckland City Council approved a new tariff structure for Metrowater. The key components of the new tariff are much lower fixed (system) charges, which favour customers who use less water, separate Watercare Services charges passed on, and a Metrowater network charge.
