Petrol Prices Rise Again - Crude oil prices continue to rise causing Mobil to lead the market upwards pushing the price of petrol up 3 cents a litre. BP says there is justification for the move as crude oil prices haven’t peaked yet. BP will be receiving its own position today. Shell and Caltex are also adopting a wait and see approach with a spokesperson for Caltex saying its prices will go up as well.
Returned Servicemen May Get Viagara - The Government is considering giving our war veterans who suffer impotence because of combat disability cheaper access to Viagara. Australia has already announced it will give its ex servicemen the drug for just $3.20 for four tablets, compared to the normal $80. Associate Minister of Veteran Affairs, Max Bradford says he will liaise closely with his Australian counterparts. Any initiatives, he says, which improve the quality of life for veterans who were injured in the service of New Zealand should get serious consideration.
Hints On Star Lineup For Millennium Concert - The concert promoter poised to sneer David Bowie and Split Enz for a Millennium concert in Auckland is playing his cards close to his chest. Within the next couple of days, Frontier Touring will announce its lineup for the gig. Split Enz is a near certainty, Bowie is a possibility.
