Police have sealed off a house in Totara Heights in Manukau City where the bodies of the trio and a seriously injured man were found about 7:15am today. Detective Inspector Alan Collins says the man is bound to undergo surgery shortly. He says it is too early to tell what happened and how the woman and two children died. Police have sealed off the street and asked residents not to leave the area until they have been interviewed by police.
A history of secrets and corruption may be revealed in Samoa following the political assassination of a senior politician. The 34 year old son of a Cabinet Minister has been sentenced to hang after confessing to shooting Public Works Minister Luagalau Levaula Kamu. A constitutional law expert says an air of corruption in Samoa has to be addressed now. The Government’s accounts have not been released to the public in eight years, leaving open to stories and rumours.

Prime Minister is now defending Government social agencies
from attacks for the church. The Bishop of Christchurch has
criticised free market Government policies on the back of
the WINZ scandal, saying social agencies are run too much
like private enterprise which has lead to the decline in
concern about our common good. But Jenny Shipley says the
changes in the state sector were necessary and both major
parties believe it was the right move. She believes this has
improved for New
Zealanders.
