Tremains Signs On As Naming Rights Sponsor For Volunteer Great Lake Taupō
26 April, 2025
Volunteer Great Lake Taupō is thrilled to announce that Tremains Real Estate has come on board as the official Naming Rights Sponsor for the Volunteer Service Awards. Recognising the tireless dedication and invaluable contributions of volunteers across our district.

With a proud history deeply rooted in family values and community spirit, Tremains is a natural partner for this celebration of local volunteerism. Since its founding in 1970 by All Black great Kel Tremain, the company has championed values of trust, excellence, community, and fun — values that mirror those embodied by the volunteers who give their time, energy, and heart to make Taupō a better place.
From humble beginnings in Hawke's Bay, Tremains has expanded into provincial centres including Taupō, always with a strong focus on supporting and uplifting the communities it serves. Whether it's the beloved Tremains Santa Parade or the work of the Tremains Community Trust, their investment in people and place is a cornerstone of their identity.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Volunteer Great Lake Taupō,” says Simon Tremain, Managing Director. “Volunteers are the backbone of vibrant communities. Their selfless efforts deserve to be recognised, celebrated, and supported — and we’re honoured to help make that happen.”
This naming rights sponsorship reflects not just a financial commitment, but a shared vision: one where community comes first, and where collaboration and connection lead the way forward.
Volunteer Great Lake Taupō Service Awards, now officially known as Tremains Volunteer Service Awards, will continue to champion and celebrate local volunteering through events and recognition programmes — with the backing of a partner that believes in making a meaningful difference.
As part of this exciting partnership, nominations are now open for the 2025 Tremains Volunteer Service Awards, which will take place in the Great Lake Centre Auditorium following Comavol – Community and Volunteer Expo on Saturday, 7 June.
