Explaining the path of decline of the British Conservative Party is interesting for New Zealanders. The explanation that Bloomberg News recently published does sound very, very familiar. The same process is playing out here. The devotional cult to free market Thatcherism is still being practiced by the coalition partners, and is equally as short-sighted. Also, despite Israeli war crimes and escalation, NZ obediently parrots the US message that these aggressions are being carried out behind the smokescreen of Israel’s right to “defend” itself.
I do not intend to cut projects that are critical for our city’s growth and sustainability. For me, that means protecting our social housing, and continuing funding for water and key climate initiatives.
The NZDF continues to conduct daily beach surveys together with local authorities and have not found any evidence of pollution or fuel affecting the shoreline.
With inflation now being back in the target band, the Government has no reason to not invest in making sure that unemployment doesn’t happen. Anything else is a choice.
The sudden and deep cuts left many of those providing the services scrambling to make ends meet, resulting in job losses and the loss of critical support for many.
Our Government doesn’t just think about constraining future government expenditure. We are equally intent on driving more value from the significant investment the Government already makes across the economy.
By New Zealand Parliament failing to adequately address political corruption, Parliament fails to ensure a culture of integrity is led from the top. Human rights will always be better protected in countries that can demonstrate political integrity and transparency.
