Techweek heads to Coromandel Town this week

Techweek kicks off in more than 30 cities and towns around New Zealand with Coromandel Town hosting our district's main event this Wednesday 22 May at 12noon - 2pm at the Anglican Church Hall.

Techweek has grown 10 times in just three years, as the global thirst for digital knowledge rapidly accelerates, tech is growing exponentially all over New Zealand. Techweek is the focal point for learning more about trends in the booming sector and gives New Zealanders a chance to discover the latest tech, for kids to try new things, for businesses to connect and learn and to showcase our best tech success stories to the world.

"Our event here on the Coromandel is designed to inspire and support the building of regional capacity, providing an opportunity for the local Coromandel community to connect and here from industry-leading, technology and innovation speakers," says our Mayor Sandra Goudie.

Our programme includes two guest speakers:

Bob Drummon who will be discussing:

• How to start an online business in 2019

• Technologies they use at KAMI to create an office the size of the earth and to serve customers worldwide

Mariana Van Der Walt who will be discussing:

• Impact Hubs

We will also be hearing from

• Pamela Grealey from the Coromandel Business Association

• Coromandel Independent Living Trust

There will also be time to network at the end of the event.
