National Memorial Service for Christchurch
To commemorate the 50 people who lost their lives in the Christchurch terrorist attack, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern
has announced a National Memorial Day.
Simultaneous memorial services will take place from 10am to 11am on Friday, 29 March 2019.
Timaru District Council is taking part in this by holding a public screening of the hour long live broadcast of the main
memorial event in Christchurch. This is happening at Sopheze on the Bay (Caroline Bay Tearooms) on Friday from 10am.
