Resurfacing work on Gladstone Road

Published: Tue 26 Mar 2019 04:36 PM
Resurfacing work begins tomorrow on Gladstone Road between Carnarvon Street and Roebuck Road.
The work is expected to take two days to complete and will result in a significantly smoother surface on this section of the main road.
Contractors Downer will begin outside Countdown on Gladstone Road from 7am tomorrow morning, with a 30km/h speed restriction in place.
Stop/ go traffic management will be used at times and motorists can expect delays while the work is occurring.
We recommend planning your journey and taking alternative routes such as Childers Road and Palmerston Road to avoid disruption.
People will not be able to drive or walk across the worksite, so there will be no right-hand turns across the centreline.
Work is scheduled to run from 7am to 7pm Wednesday and Thursday and there may be some work on Friday if required.
We thank the community and adjacent businesses for their patience during this period.
