Special service to be held across all ARISE Church locations tomorrow
ARISE Church lead pastors John & Gillian Cameron, Christchurch campus pastors Brent & Annie Cameron, the leadership team and the ARISE Church family, like all New Zealanders, are numb with shock and pain at the atrocities committed in Christchurch yesterday.
Tomorrow we will meet together as a church for special services to pray for the families of the victims, those who are injured both physically and emotionally, our nation, and the city of Christchurch. We call on all Christians and New Zealanders of all faiths to stand together in support of all those affected. We believe that all people are valuable to and loved by God and that Jesus was the example of true love in the face of hatred. We believe that at times like this, the God of comfort, peace and strength will be with us, that love is greater than fear and that God will defend New Zealand.
Tomorrow the entire offering collected during all services at all locations across New Zealand will be donated to families of the victims of this tragedy.
We invite all people, of all faiths or no faith to join us at our Christchurch campus or one of our other locations at Wellington, Hamilton, Hutt Valley, Kapiti, Dunedin, Whangarei and Palmerston North. Our Muslim friends are welcome, as are all New Zealanders who are struggling personally and experiencing all sorts of emotions at this time. As a church, we are here for you and want to pray for you.
Service times at Christchurch are 9:15am, 11am and 5pm at the Aurora Centre at Burnside High School. Other location details and times can be found at www.arisechurch.com
