Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) has received an Expression of Interest (EOI) to develop a Special Housing Area
on land to the north of Hanley Farm and Jacks Point - the Coneburn Special Housing Area. QLDC is now seeking community
feedback on this EOI.
The proposal is on vacant land with a total area of 48 hectares located at 436 Kingston Road in the Jacks Point Zone.
The proposal includes developing this land for up to approximately 600 sections, with associated reserves, trails and a
local shopping area.
While the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act 2013 doesn’t provide for formal consultation on the establishment of special housing areas, QLDC’s elected members are
interested to hear local views on the proposal.

Feedback closes at 5.00pm on Thursday 11 April 2019 and the proposal will be considered by the Council at its meeting on
18 April 2019.
