Tracks closed at Victoria Domain in Picton

Published: Tue 19 Feb 2019 12:21 PM
The hot, dry summer has forced the closure of Picton’s Victoria Domain upper tracks. The Tirohanga Track is also closed.
Victoria Domain walkers and bikers are asked to use only the lower Bob’s Bay track or the lower Picton to Waikawa marina-to-marina track.
Please pay attention to the warning signs. In a fire, the closed tracks could be deadly.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand recommends that all non-essential spark-hazardous work is rescheduled until the weather is cooler.
This includes activities like mowing, scrub cutting and vegetation clearance.
If you see a fire, phone 111.
ENDS.
