Stratford is once again looking forward to a rainbow of an event. Following its 2018 success, the Stratford District Youth Council is excited to be bring back “Colour in the Park”, on Saturday 9 March 2019.
Stratford’s King Edward Park will once again host this colourful event. The event kicks off Parks Week and provides a creative way for the community to use the park. Connor Giblin, Chairperson of Stratford District Youth Council, is looking forward to this year’s event.
“The Stratford District Youth Council’s Colour in the Park was a great day out for the whole family last year. We received a lot of positive feedback from everyone who participated, so we are really excited to be able to do it again this year,” says Connor. “We are also increasing the number of tickets available, as it sold out so quickly last year.”
In addition to the run/walk, there will be multiple other activities to enjoy. “Beyond the novelty of getting covered in coloured powder, the event will also have live music, performers, food vendors and spot prizes for best costumes.”
Tickets are on sale from Friday 15 February and can be purchased from the Stratford i-SITE or from www.eventbrite.co.nz and search “Colour in the Park”. Tickets are $5 for 24 years and under, $10 for adults and $25 for families – 2 adults and 2 children.
