Tree pruning operation on Tristram St
22 January 2019
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A section of Hamilton’s Tristram St will be under traffic control this Wednesday (23 January) while Hamilton City Council’s arborist crew prunes large trees in Hinemoa Park.
The trees have limbs and branches which hang over the road and need to be pruned back for the safety of road users. The trees to be worked on are between Rostrevor St and Mill St, with the project running from 9am to 3pm.
The road will be under stop/go control and some on-street car parks on Tristram St will be unavailable from the night prior to ensure the work can be undertaken as efficiently and effectively as possible, and with no vehicles parked in the site.
The team will prune the limbs over the southbound lane first, before the operation switches to the northbound lane.
Road users and pedestrians should consider alternative routes, and are asked exercise patience if Tristram St is an essential route for them on this day.
