Queenstown Bay now safe for swimming
Results from further testing of water quality at Lake Wakatipu’s Queenstown Bay have shown the elevated E. coli levels reported yesterday (Sunday, 6 January 2019) have now subsided.
Ulrich Glasner, QLDC Chief Engineer, thanked the community for adhering to the warnings and advised the area is now safe for swimming and the warning signs have been taken down.
Routine water quality testing will continue as usual and the community will be updated if anything changes.
