Auckland Buskers brings mindblowing feats to city streets
The downtown streets of Auckland will come alive this Auckland Anniversary Weekend with a selection of the world’s best street performers showing off their talent at the Auckland International Buskers Festival 2019. The incredible festival will see acrobatics, magic, comedy, dance, unicycles and so much more performed over four days from January 25 – 28, 2019.
Fifteen extraordinary performers will come from far and wide with thrilling performances to entertain the Auckland crowds.
The mind-bogglingly talented street performers
confirmed for this fascinating festival are:
The
Atari Show – An Argentinian comedian and skilful
street artist whose hilarious skits, unsynchronised dance
moves and upbeat improvisation wow audiences around the
world.
Chris Blaze – As the name
suggests, epic fire shows which draw mega crowds is this
Aussie’s speciality.
Hero-san – A
world renown Japanese street acrobat and break dancer
performs seemingly impossible tricks in a beautiful and
hilarious style, tickling the crowd with his outrageous
humour and chopstick skills.
Opus Furore
– A tribute to the roaring twenties, German duo bring
crowds to tears of laughter with their hysterical silliness,
acrobatics and juggling.
Reuben DotDotDot –
Swagger and strength go hand-in-hand for the
Australian street performer who specialises in gymnastic
feats.
Satya Hoops – This Dutch
performer has captivated audiences in over 42 countries with
her hula-hooping spectacles, including the likes of royalty
and presidents.
Silver Starlets – The
all-female Canadian aerial acrobatics show will bring the
glitz, the glam and the glitter.
Surprise
Effect – This dynamic French hip-hop and
break-dancing group fuse acrobatics and theatricality to
spread a positive message.
Mighty Mike
– Award-winning Canadian strongman will stun in his
1920’s swimsuit, juggling bowling balls and bending horse
shoes.
Kozo Kaos – Local Aucklander
blends comedy and unbelievable stunts to keep audiences on
their toes and laughing.
